Retained and Gain

One of the key constraints a learner faces is the inability to master concepts picked up in classroom or any other source.
How many times have we heard somebody cry out in exasperation??
Oh God - I picked up this word just a week back. And now the meaning eludes me.
It could be me you anybody everybody --
So how does one go about learning something and retaining it for the rest of our lives.
I suggest students to go for a two pronged strategy. As soon as you pick up a word, make sure you generate enough number of occasions to use it in your own language. Whether in the form of Fb/Watsapp Posts or comments or your personal diary.
Secondly, equally or perhaps more importantly, become an altruist. Share your knowledge with the world. Any Tom Dick and Harry.
Whoever has receptive ears.
Teach them in the process of normal conversation, without sounding teacher like.
This way you are killing two
birds with one stone.
Enriching others and getting further enriched as a trade-off!!
Suppose you pick up an idiom, as I did.
A dog with two tails.
Top banana.
She was as happy as a dog with two tails when she got the chance to pose with a selfie with top bananas, Siraj and Rishabh at IGI Airport.
